I'd be happy if you could just move it to top of list so you don't have to go through all the others to get back to it everytime you zone or close the panel

Have we all gotten so lazy that we can't press the "H" button and then click on the center tab to see how our titles are coming along?

This idea holds no merit with me.

WOW sorry to offend you with this simple idea to make it alittle easier

I'm working on my GMC for Tyria and at the moment its below anonther 13 titles, and everytime i zone it resets to the top of the list, would it be so bad for you if it stayed were it was put?

heh, I appreciate your right to make opinions guys, i wanted to point out that this is a suggestion forum and what is a valid suggestion (16 out of 19 people so far indicate they like it) should probably either be validated by responses in the affirmative or ignored (not posted in)

Remember the whole point to posting here is to see if ANet will uptake our suggestions. The majority they no doubt will look for at least x number of people posting; but sometimes they may see something that will give them great bang for their buck, even if it is a little suggestion.

I can understand an opinion against an idea in Riverside forum, but here... i guess i dont understand the logic of posting in this forum against a suggestion that you dont like. :P A bad suggestion or one that isnt appealing to others and most importantly..ANet; will dissapear because its not posted in, never to be implemented. And that i feel is the best way for this forum to work. Posts against a suggestion really dont need to exist in this forum.

One last thing.. sometimes a suggestion could be candy for ANet..something quick and easy to implement that they can point to and say "hey we are listening to you guys " So a suggestion doesnt have to be earthshattering influencing to be valid to us or to ANet. Each idea can be considered using the phrase, 'Bang for their buck' as i mentioned earlier.

Sorry, im not getting at you guys, i just have felt this way about this sub-forum a lot recently and dont want to see it go the way of Riverside with threads deviating from the OP's intention with negative posts that are personal opinions that arent needed (such as implying the reason for the suggestion was laziness ;P)

/signed would be a cool little addition that would save me having to check my progress every so often.

I disagree. I believe that when someone goes on and on about how he wants Smite Magic for the monk to be buffed and three people have already shown their approval and nobody has shown disapproval because 'posts against a suggestion really don't need to exist in this forum,' you'd be the first to wish this to change if Anet implements it (I would hope).

Anybody can post an idea, and even if 1% of the people who read it like the idea, if 100,000 people read that idea, there are going to be 1000 people saying "Yeah! Great idea!" when it's total crap.

Anet filters out a lot of what they read on these forums because most people are stupid. And I don't say that to insult anyone, but it's rather true, unfortunately. What most people want and what makes a game great are not synonymous. In fact, in most cases, they differ. Anet is a kickass company, because of this insight that most people lack. Though like everyone, they too make mistakes, and I wouldn't dare push them in a direction they didn't want to take because they thought 100% of guild wars players thought it was a good idea.

This is a minor thing, and in fact I express minor constructive criticism against the idea. Whether Anet implements it or not is not really a big deal in this case, but I can speak my mind, can't I? Criticism, both positive and negative, contribute to the birth of a new idea for Anet, and I, for one, will be here giving both wherever I see fit in the hopes that Anet can make a better game for us all.

If only everyone stated their case as you have done. Cheers. I agree with you in fact, and defintately love seeing people speak thier minds, especially if that mind is informed and constructive. We cant have too much of that. I guess why i spoke up was because of your comment about "complaing about hitting the h key" and the other posters comment about "laziness" which wasnt exactly constructive or accurate, but rather both your interpretations. The Op wasnt complaining, he was making a suggestion. To his credit and my embaressment, he even asked if people disagreed with him heh.

If it appears i came over too strongly it is because in Riverside i see too often interpretations that are way off the ball and lack constuction, and feared it happening here, is all. Anyway, i dont want to labour the point or derail this further :P I appreciate your sentiment and your civility with me. Cheers

Totally hit the nail on the head there. My sentiments exactly.

Don't fret. I also hope I didn't come across to strongly. My point was simply that both types of comments serve a purpose. Though, just like it is easy to make a bad negative comment by not providing constructive criticism, it's also easy to make a bad positive comment by not specifying why it is good.

At any rate, I think we're basically in agreement here.

To people who are against this idea:

We already have a completely useless Exp bar on our display, why not replace it with something worth looking at?

If you think monitoring your titles during play is as simple as clicking H, you are wrong, you must have never seen massive title lists requiring lots of scrolling and searching, every time...

This idea is brilliant and I can't wait to see it in game.

also,
/signed for making the bar ctrl-clickable

It is just as simple as typing H...it takes two seconds to scroll down. You can stop what you're doing for a split second, you don't NEED to know the exact progress of your title whilst you're doing it. It's hardly an effort. There are other things Anet could get to sorting rather than trivial things such as this.

It does not take two seconds to get to some tiles when you have so much of them.

They do not have own icons or nothing like that, so you have to slowly scroll reading the texts.

Once you close the panle, you'll have to scroll again to find it...

Thats annot¡ying. And Annoying thins in Guild Wars can be removed.

And since it is a client sided thing, it can be easily changed in no time.

Just making the selected title appear at the top would do.
